Presidential and Alumni Scholarships

The University of Massachusetts Foundation oversees a number of Presidential and Alumni Scholarships for undergraduate students in the UMass system. These scholarships are funded by generous donors and alumni. Each campus nominates finalists and the Foundation and President’s Office determine the winners from among those finalists.

The application process involves completion and submission of the scholarship application form (when applicable), in addition to all required supporting materials, as PDF attachments — these include transcript and essay(s). All letters of recommendation must be emailed by the recommender directly to onsa@honors.umass.edu.

Incomplete applications will not be considered.

To apply, please review the eligibility and criteria for each scholarship by clicking on its name, and follow specific instructions. Application forms for scholarships, where relevant, are under their respective headings.

Recommendations should be sent to onsa@honors.umass.edu with a note in the subject heading stating your name and the name of the scholarship. These are also due by each application’s deadline.

Feel free to contact us at onsa@honors.umass.edu with any questions.
